Spring floral wedding at Bodleian Libraries

Set in the heart of historical Oxford within the architectural beauty of the Divinity Hall at Bodleian Libraries, this styled shoot captures the awakening of spring and the arrival of those magical golden sunshine hours.

Inspiration comes from the exquisite hand-painted bridal gown and the soft palette of pastel-coloured florals influence every aspect of the styling, from the pressed wildflower stationery and floral displays to the wedding cake and favours.

Wearing the delicate hand-painted ‘Vivia” dress and matching veil by British luxury bridal label, Savin London, our bride embodies the perfect blend of elegance and exquisite design for a modern bride. The pale pink hues of the dress are reflected in the bride’s dewy makeup and loose Hollywood waves, complemented by a modern take on wedding jewellery with pressed floral crescent moon earrings and a rose quartz necklace...the stone of universal love. The groom takes on an effortlessly cool and relaxed look, complementing his bride in a pale pink, slim fitting suit..and sunglasses of course!

Designed with whimsical wildflower fields in mind, the British-grown seasonal florals bring a sense of relaxed, whimsical abandon with a stunning bridal bouquet of delicate blousy blooms alongside beautiful columns of wild foliage filled with soft pastel stems, which grace each end of the table.

Bud vases of spring florals sit along the wedding breakfast table, nestled between crisp white linen, tableware and light-reflecting glass set against a hand-painted floral runner, which echoes the wedding stationery, pulling the elements together into a cohesive style. The complementary stationery suite is a perfect blend of timeless, elegant design with its hand-painted floral detail and the contemporary use of clear acrylic.

This cake is no wall flower! A vision of pastel hues, the hand-painted marble wedding cake is adorned with an abundance of wafer paper ruffles, dotted with pressed flowers and a ‘stained-glass’ window, that filter the light perfectly. Clear pressed flower lollipops are the perfect wedding favour addition to the complete the look.
